- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Took my daughter for an ER visit for a mild case of croup. I've taken her 2x before at INOVA in Northern VA and it ended up costing about $1,000 total, which I was completely fine with. I took her into Southern Regional Hospital because I didn't have her nebulizer since I was just visiting. A simple nebulizer treatment and oral medication ended up costing me over $6,000! I was baffled that they charged that much! My insurance covered $1,500 and I was paying off the $4,500 in payments because I couldn't pay it all off at once. The billing department was horrible. I kept asking for payments and they said I could pay in payments and they would keep sending me bills that I was overdue. I paid over $4,000 and then they ended up sending the $350 to a collection agency! So annoyed with this hospital overall.May 08, 2017by Michelle Goeller
